E-Channelizer works fine on Win 10, 8, 7 SP1, Vista SP2, both x32 and x64 systems.
If you use Win 7/Vista, make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 installed.

What I’m looking for is a setting editor that can import settings from kingofsat, something like dreamset.
In dreamset we can make a selection of the satellites who needs to be downloaded.
Once imported, and with the use of a filter, making a selection of the audio/subtitle language.
For example show me all the channels with French audio/subtitle, no matter on witch satellite or provider.
Then we can make a complete bouquet with all the French  channels, no mater on witch satellite or provider they are.
Because there are a lot of channels, like discovery, original in English but with dutch, French or other subtitles.
We can watch them in our language with the subtitles, the problem is to find them.
On the pages of kingofsat we can already make such a choice, why not use the same function in a setting editor.
That will make a big difference between other setting tools.

I give an example, on astra 19.2 there are 183 channels who provided Englisch as the second audio channel,
That's a lot of channels, spread-ed over 14 providers.
Sky deutschland, HD+,  Movistar+ (Astra), ORF Digital, GlobeCast, CanalSat, Orange, SFR, TNTSAT, Kabelkiosk, SkyLink, Austriasat, Canal Digitaal, TeleSat.

Well, E-Channelizer is new modern application, though it excels at many aspects and fairly outperform other tools developed for many years now.
New features are added with every release, however there is always room for improvement. So feel free to report issues or suggest your wishes!

@ mebo870

Font looks just regular on screens with different resolutions, please post a screenshot. Though possibility to change the font size will be good. :-x

E-Channelizer helps you to easily edit all satellites found in YOUR satellites.xml. Moreover, you can search and delete unused or empty satellites.
You can also easily filter services by multiple satellites (http://echannelizer.com/view.php?page=how-to-filter-satellites) at once, which is exclusive feature by the way. How do you count this as negative one?!!

Though for better experience, I will add new option to show the installed satellites only instead of the whole list.
I used Google translator, so I can not really get the points about settings, menus and your other issues! Please clarify in English if possible.

Complex! really?!!

Well, many others find E-Channelizer, especially after v2, very intuitive and pretty easy to figure out, even for newbies. Anyway, it is your own opinion and you are free to use another "simpler" program!

Ive made my first settings list with Echannelizer, it works, but there’s is still work to do………
First of all, when a Channel is placed into a bouquet, it’s marked with a star, does this help me ?
Not really, because there are Channels that needs to be placed in more than one bouquet, (sport, music, porn, documentary channels with subtitles, etc )
I have to check this manual, the star marked Channel is useless in this situation, it just tells me it’s already in one or more bouquets.
Yes i can control the bouquets on the star, therefore i have to make a click every time on the star.
In dreamset there are 2 colors, green for “used in another bouquet” blue means it’s used in THIS bouquet, that’s a BIG help, i hope one day Echannelizer will have the same.

Another thing is just discovered, are the picons created with Channelizer from a file, it’s working but… the image size stays original.

For the rest no problem

This aspect will be totally revamped in the next release. Thanks for suggestion!
If you like to try it out probably soon, you welcome to join the BETA community (https://plus.google.com/communities/117239057464482413902).

Another thing is just discovered, are the picons created with Channelizer from a file, it’s working but… the image size stays original.

When you change size (none, small, ...), picons are just rendered on-the-fly for preview, NOT resized!
The actual images are kept intact in their original sizes, but you can easily resize picons using v2.0.0+

To reszie picons:
- Select services, right-click, select Picon > Resize.
- Select a predefined size (HD, X, Z, ...) or any other custom size, and select the color depth (32/8 bit).

mobo,
After actually used E-Channelizer, do you really find it complex? I just wonder!  :-x
Title: Re: Nieuwe setting editor
Post by: mebo870 on December 16, 2015, 04:52:28 PM
Some things are hard to find, most of us are window-users and most windows programs have the same  menu – options structure (all-in one).
E_Channelizer is different in that way, its spreaded, once understanding, it’s pretty logical (i think).
We must learn to used it, for example, to make a choice for the satellite(s) that will be showing up in the screen on the left side, we need to click the button “providers” while there’s also a button that says “satellites”
Confusion !!
You may guess twice, under which button we’re going to search the first time when we use E_Channelizer.
Yes, there is a manual, but like most men, we read manuals after 2 years or never.

That’s one of the reasons why i had a problem, i only wanted to work on Astra 23.5
I didn’t find a way to do that, suddenly  i see a small scrollbar below,  the selection menu  for the satellites was hidden, no wonder i didn’t find anything.
I know, it’s stupid, but this can make the difference between using  E_Channelizer or rejected it.
Mostly when people have to test a new program, the first 15 minutes are crucial, we liked or disliked it.
When we have to search to long for something that looks simple, it's over.

my opinion, you succeeded to create a good working tool
There positive things i like, E_Channelizer is very stable, the names of the bouquets are kept for the file names of xxxx.tv
Also now implemented N/A , Streaming works very well and fast.

mebo870, I agree with you completely (pros & cons).

The main menu may look strange at beginning but I think it is easier to use than the traditional menus.
For filtering satellites, you are right about the scrollbar issue. I will improve this to be easily accessible.

I believe that the next version 2.2 is almost for you!

Nice quick review mebo870

The new menu bar (Ribbon) is different than the traditional menus, but you will find it easier to access commands when you get used to it.
You should try the new EC3 features. Now you can download packages from KingOfSat and generate bouquets for your favorite languages! :-x

@mebo870

Perhaps there is some data which are not parsed correctly, so please give some examples to check. I am not sure what is your problem with the "save" button!

I can not rely much on Google translation. Please report your issues in English so I can help. You can open a support ticket or discussion in the Beta community.

Don't panic E_Channelizer is working good, but there are still things that can be better.
i have a small file with all the problems i encounter
one problem is the import from kingofsat, for some reason not all stations were present in the list,
I create my favorites according to their number SID numbers, some where missing,
I had to set all parameters (country, language, providers packages, categories) then they were present.

Make sure you select all service and transponder types in the right side. This should help you control what to download and which bouquets to generate!

No panic here, I'm just welling to make the next release even better. Aren't you?  :-x
